Digicel Tonga's Chief Executive Officer, Francis Thomsen delivered a catalyst speech at the official opening ceremony for 'Transforming Nutrition-Sensitive Value Chain Development in the Pacific Islands' held at the Tanoa International Dateline Hotel.
The programme included participants from the Pacific region with a common goal to strengthen the capacity of Pacific Island Governments, farmer and private sector organisations and sub-regional institutions to develop strategies and programmes, as well as to mobilise finalising, that increase poor rural people's access to nutritious and healthy food.
Mr. Thomsen's speech was around Digital solutions for Agricultural Challenges: Towards a win-win partnership with the private sector.
The programme was organised by CTA in collaboration with International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), the Pacific Islands Private Sector Organisation (PIPSO) and MORDI Tonga Trust.
