Samsung signs on as sponsor for Fiji Women in Business awards

Women in Business (WIB) Fiji has today announced that Samsung Electronics, who recently launched their new Galaxy S8 in Fiji, has become the latest sponsor of the Fiji Women in Business Awards for 2017.

The Awards, now in its 5th consecutive year, is a much anticipated gala event in the Fiji Business event calendar.

The awards honour Fiji’s outstanding businesswomen who have demonstrated excellence and leadership in their business or profession and in their service to the community.

This is a relief as the WIB committee completes its final wrap up for the awards night on May 20 at the Grand Pacific Hotel,” said Dr Nur Bano Ali, President of Fiji Women in Business. “We are grateful to Samsung for their interest in the awards as we continue to grow the event.”

“Samsung is pleased to be able to join WIB as a sponsor of the Annual Women in Business Awards in 2017. We’re excited to be involved in an initiative that celebrates the contribution women are making in the Fijian business landscape,” said Deborah Fell, Group Marketing Manager for Samsung’s Mobile Business in The Pacific Islands and New Zealand.

The Women In Business Awards night will be held at the Grand Pacific Hotel in Suva on May 20, 2017. The theme of this year’s event is “Pearls of Success” said Dr Ali and we hope to see about 400 people at the event. Samsung will be providing the winners of each category business technology products to aid them with their future business success, including the new Samsung Galaxy S8 mobile device.

The speaker WIB Awards night is the Telstra Australian Business Woman of the Year RoseMary Vilgin, who is recognised nationally and internationally for innovative leadership qualities.
