Digicel launches leadership program

Digicel has launched Aspire, its 12-month leadership program aimed at building leadership capacity, equipping and empowering its leaders to take on more strategic roles.

The program was launched today in Port Moresby.

Aspire is a development program designed to provide leadership training for high potential Digicel staff to support and prepare them to move into future leadership positions within the business.

Digicel Chief of People Officer, Emer Jameson, said the program is another example of the continued commitment from Digicel to build leadership capacity across its markets.

The 50 selected employees – 30 from the PNG market and 20 from Digicel’s hub markets; Fiji, Samoa, Tonga, Vanuatu and Nauru – will undergo the leadership training program starting today.

Participants will attend a week-long intensive workshop every quarter and will be provided with individual external executive coaching sessions.

The leadership program will be delivered through a combination of learning methods including but not limited to classroom training, on the job training and coaching.
