Carter facing one match ban

South Sydney forward Paul Carter is facing a one match ban after he was cited for dangerous contact in his side's loss to the Eels on Friday night.

Carter was charged from an incident in the 47th minute involving Eels half Corey Norman.

The Grade 1 charge carries a base penalty of 100 points, but loading from two prior offences means he'll be suspended for a match unless he successfully fights the charge at the NRL judiciary.

Parramatta centre Vai Toutai was also charged by the NRL math review committee for a grade 1 careless high tackle on John Sutton, but will not miss any matches.
