Games Council convinced PNG is Games ready

With two more sleeps to go before the Opening Ceremony for the 15th Pacific Games, Papua New Guinea is ready to host the Games.

When addressing the local and international media today, Pacific Games Council (PGC) president Vidhya Lakhan congratulated the PNG Government for its efforts.

“After visiting all the venues this week, we were surprised with the amount of work compared to our last visit in getting the games venues ready.

“All venues are ready after being tested and trialled and there are no issues.

“They’re far better than in past Games so congratulations to the PNG Government,” he said.

The PGC was also grateful for the people of the host city, Port Moresby, for the support provided to the Games Organising Committee.

The council is confident that the Games will be an excellent event and a success.

Four thousand athletes and officials from 24 countries will be involved in the Games.
