More embarrassment for Warriors

The New Zealand Warriors have been thrashed 42-0 by the Melbourne Storm in their National Rugby League Anzac Day match across the Tasman.

The Warriors were left stunned by the Storm attack that ran in five tries alone in the first half.

Coach Andrew McFadden said it was unacceptable.

"It was a big occasion, we knew they were going to come out and we just clearly weren't prepared for that, we never really got ourselves into the game at any stage.

"Physically we were just dominated - so it's a pretty easy one to find the answer."

McFadden was obviously unhappy with the effort his side put out.

"You got to be prepared to win the physical side and you know they're a big side Melbourne, and it's a big game, you know you've got to turn up and we didn't tonight and it's hard to win any football games when you're not prepared to roll your sleeves up."

It appears McFadden will have to look for another player to fill the fullback position after Tuimoala Lolohea left the field with a knee injury in the first half.

The Warriors are 13th on the NRL ladder.
