The board of Tonga Gas/HomeGas Ltd has paid $200,000 to Tonga Power Ltd for dividend declared for 2015.
Tonga Gas/HomeGas board chairman Malakai Lomu Sika presented a cheque to Carl Sanft during its Annual General Meeting yesterday.
This is the first time for the company to pay dividend since its operation in Tonga.
Sanft expressed gratitude for the dividend paid by Tonga Gas Ltd and HomeGas Ltd in spite of the difficult times that the two companies faced financially over the years.
He conveyed his appreciation to chairman Sika, board of directors and the general manager for Tonga Gas Ltd and HomeGas Ltd for all their hard work over the year.
