Taylor Swift appears to be missing in action, with fans speculating the chart-topping pop star has disappeared to New Zealand for a well-earned break.
The Bad Blood singer was expected to appear at the American Music Awards today but was a no-show on the event's red carpet event in Los Angeles.
She was rumoured to have been spotted at Auckland Airport this morning, with several eager fans suggesting that they'd caught a glimpse of Swift.
No one is yet to post photographic proof of Swift in New Zealand, and Facebook rumours that she was filming a music video in East Tamaki seem unfounded.
If she is taking a pre-tour holiday in New Zealand it would be especially cruel considering she is skipping the country for her 1989 world tour.
Swift is due in Australia for a series of concerts beginning in Sydney on November 28.
She's up for six major awards at today's American Music Awards in Los Angeles, but she didn't appear on the red carpet, and isn't scheduled to perform or present an award.
She recently told British music magazine NME she would take some time off, but not until her tour had finished.
"I think I should take some time off," she said. "I think people might need a break from me. I'm going to... I don't know. Hang out with my friends. Write new music. Maybe not write new music. I don't know."
Of course, Swift has one high profile friend in New Zealand that she could be visiting - Royals singer Lorde.
Also noteworthy is that Swift has an active presence on Twitter and Instagram, but her accounts have been silent for several days now.

Bieber, currently in the midst of promoting new album Purpose and repairing his recent troubled star image, will perform a medley of his hits to close out the show.
