Arts festival: Campus embraces PNG contingent

The PNG contingent to the 6th Melanesian Arts and Culture Festival in Honiara has been embraced by the Panatina Campus community.

The 150-member contingent, present at the two week festival, is staying at the college which also houses the main festival village and pavilion for music acts.

There are 7 satellite locations around the city that house arts and crafts displays as well as cultural dances and traditional exhibitions.

The PNG contingent is into day two of their festival with members carrying out traditional artifact displays and start up dances from Morobe, Chimbu, East New Britain and Western provinces.

There are also cultural displays of the Kina culture, among others, at the PNG stall.
