Ever heard of ‘clear the air’ challenge?

You may have heard, seen or even participated in the “clear the air” challenge that set the internet on fire in January.

What it had people doing was clear the air between each other.

To be more specific, this is the only time you allow someone to tell you what they think about you, without responding or reacting, even if it was offensive to you.

Many updated their status on Facebook:

“Anyone who comments their name under my status, I'm going to reply how I honestly feel about you, whether I know you personally or not”.

Originality of this challenge is unknown, although there is another clear the air challenge that existed since 2009.

This clear the air challenge was undertaken to improve Utah’s air.

Utah is the 45th state of the United States, the 13th-largest by area, 31st-most populous and the 10th-least densely populated of the 50 United States.

The challenge encourages commuters to drive less and drive smarter, in order to help improve air quality, reduce traffic congestion and conserve energy in Utah.

The Clear the Air Challenge is a month-long competition, starting July 1st.

Over five summers, according to the website, the Challenge has engaged approximately 20,000 participants, saved over 7.1 million miles and eliminated more than 600,000 vehicle trips.

If in Utah, one can start by integrating TravelWise strategies into your travel routine and tracking them during the Challenge and beyond.

Since 2009, participants in the Clear the Air Challenge have helped make a big difference in improving Utah’s air.

How about challenging yourself to clear the air where you live?
