Richie Mo'unga and Beauden Barrett will both start for the All Blacks against South Africa.
Crusaders first-five Mo'unga got the nod at 10, while Hurricanes first-five Barrett starts at fullback for the Rugby Championship match at Westpac Stadium in Wellington on Saturday night.
Only Barrett, Ben Smith and Brodie Retallick have been retained in the starting XV which beat Argentina in Buenos Aires last weekend.
Smith moves to right wing to accommodate Barrett's switch to 15, while Retallick starts alongside Sam Whitelock at lock.
Sonny Bill Williams was deemed fit enough to start at second-five alongside Jack Goodhue, while the remainder of the backline sees Rieko Ioane recapture the left wing spot and TJ Perenara start at halfback.
The Crusaders' front row is back in place as Owen Franks, Codie Taylor and Joe Moody return after resting last weekend.
Kieran Read captains the side from No 8 in a loose forward trio with Matt Todd at openside and Shannon Frizell at blindside.
Last week's front row of Ofa Tuungafasi, Dane Coles and Angus Ta'avao lead the bench, which also features Vaea Fifita, Dalton Papalii, Aaron Smith, Anton Lienert-Brown and George Bridge.
That means the likes of Ardie Savea, Sam Cane and Jordie Barrett are out of the 23 as coach Steve Hansen balances experience with wanting to give those players on the fringe of World Cup selection a chance to prove themselves.
"The selectors are once again very excited with the team we've selected and are very much looking forward to seeing them play," Hansen said.
"The key for us this week has been to continue building on the very good groundwork we've put in over the last couple of weeks. Whilst we were a little rusty last week, we're looking forward to seeing improvements in all areas of our game this week.
"It's always an exciting occasion when we play the Springboks. We have a lot of respect for them and love playing them, as they bring many challenges to the contest. One of those challenge this week will be to not only match the physicality of the Boks, but to impose our own physicality on the game, and execute our game and our skillsets at a higher level."
All Blacks assistant coach Ian Foster was asked earlier in the week if there had been discussion among selectors about getting their two best playmakers, Barrett and Mo'unga on the field at the same time.
He replied by saying "we have lots of discussions, it's a fun little group".
Clearly, those discussions were more than a bit of fun, with the 10-15 experimentation rolled out in what is expected to be their biggest pre-World Cup test against a Springboks side looking to repeat their 36-34 win over New Zealand at the same venue last year.
Williams will need to prove not only his fitness, but his ability in both attack and defence after Ngani Laumape's solid showing against the Pumas.
Frizell gets his chance to stake a claim for the No 6 jersey after Fifita failed to impress there last weekend, while Rieko Ioane will want a good showing to put some distance between himself and Sevu Reece as one of the two first-choice wingers.
