The Force have held off a resilient Tongan outfit, claiming a 47-17 win in the second World Series Rugby match.
The Tongans set the tone through the early exchanges with some bully ball, sending countless ball carriers up the middle and causing the Force some defensive headaches.
It worked, too, as the home side gifted James Faiva two shots at goal.
He missed the first but duly slotted the second, drawing first blood for a hodgepodge Tongan outfit.
The Force responded with interest, crossing through Rod Davies, Andrew Deegan and Marcel Brache, the last try a particularly soft effort from the Tongans.
That was all within 20 minutes but just as the floodgates threatened to burst open, Tonga got their hands on the ball and did some damage of their own.
Powerful carries through the middle third of the ground created the space for Faiva to cross and another try quickly followed, sending the two teams into the sheds with the score sitting at 21-17.
The Force came out firing when the second half kicked off and two scrum penalties quickly turned into a penalty try, with fullback Clay Uyen reaping the rewards from another dominant scrum when a quick tap gave him the space to slice the line and score in the 53rd minute.
Brache nabbed his double in the 59th minute when Prior went to the blindside off another dominant scrum five from the Tongan line, opening up a 40-17 lead with 20 to play.
Brad Lacey put the icing on the cake as the clock ticked past the 70th minute, securing a comfortable win after a few moments of panic late in the first term.
