Oceania Rugby conducts medical workshop

Oceania Rugby has conducted an Intermediate Care in Rugby’ (ICIR) workshop ahead of the competition this Friday.

Launched at the Grand Pacific Hotel in Suva yesterday, the workshop targeted to well equip its members of basic medical knowledge.

“It a level two course, and is the new standard desired by World Rugby, and we have educators from World Rugby here for a workshop that is much needed,” said regional training manager Talemo Waqa.

“With these workshop participants will be better equipped to attend to medical incidents on the rugby field.”

The workshop ends tomorrow while the Oceania 7s championship will be held this Friday and Saturday at Suva’s ANZ Stadium.
