Pumas name overseas-based duo for Test comebacks in Brisbane

Overseas-based duo Facundo Isa and Santiago Cordero will make their long-awaited returns to the Pumas, named to face the Wallabies in Brisbane.

Isa, who plays for Toulon, will start for the first time since 2016 when he runs out at no. 8 for Argentina this weekend, replacing Javier Ortega Desio in the starting lineup.

Exeter's Cordero will start on the wing, set to potentially go up against current Premiership teammate Nic White in Saturday's Suncorp Stadium clash.

Cordero's comeback pushes Matias Moroni into outside centre with Matias Orlando coming off the bench.

Isa and Cordero's returns are two of five personnel changes to the starting XV for their second Rugby Championship clash, coming off a 20-16 loss to the All Blacks in Buenos Aires.

Julian Montoya replaces the injured Agustin Creevy at hooker for the Pumas, with Tomas Lezana starting ahead of Marcos Kremer and Joaquin Tuculet coming in for the rested Emiliano Boffelli.

Hooker Santiago Socino is in line for a potential debut off the bench, while Ramiro Herrera replaces Santiago Medrano as the back-up tighthead.

Juan Manuel Leguizamon is the other new face on the pine for week two.
