The competition went ahead Friday, following a postponement a fortnight ago.
According to Tevita Tu’ifangaloka, coach of the ‘Atele Grade 5 rugby team, he prepared his team well for the competition.
‘Atele has not won a championship shield in a long time and the team is hoping to win this year.
“’Atele always celebrate their anniversary but the team wanted to celebrate winning a champion shield as well if they win this year,” said Mr. Tu’ifangaloka.
Tailulu College won their match against ‘Atele College with a score line of 13-8.
Captain of the Tailulu team, Brandon ‘Ohuafi, was happy with the win.
He said they worked very hard in the past few weeks preparing for the championship.
He urged the team members to be brave and play until they reach their destinies.
The badminton competition was also held at ‘Atele Indoor Stadium on Friday.
Queen Salote College girls won over Liahona High School.
In the football category, ‘Apifo’ou girls’ team defeated Liahona 1-0.
