2019 OFC Champions League

Toti City Dwellers go down to Auckland City

The Group D winners hosted the Group A runners-up on the afternoon of April 5th.

Both sides were equally matched in the first 20 minutes, defending and making defenders rush to secure their goal area.

The tug-of-war ended when Auckland City’s David Browne curved a through ball into the visitors’ net.

The Lae boys, determined to make the hosts work, kept them at bay until the half time whistle.

A return from break saw the elusive Browne dribble around Toti City defenders – Valentine Nelson and Mosie Milubwa – to double his team’s tally.

Toti City captain stamps mark

Malampa Revivors winger Elkington Molivakarua caught the Lae boys’ backline napping when he found the back of the net 4 minutes into the 2019 OFC Champions League game.

40 minutes into the game and skipper Raymond Gunemba put his deadly left foot to work. The first goal coming from Goalie Ronald Warisan’s pass and within a space of 8 minutes, Toti city were going into halftime with a lead of 3 goals to 1.
