The pop star is the suspect in a battery report made by the LAPD, a spokesperson for the department told TMZ and Us Weekly.

Brown infamously beat his then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009, but went on to have several run-ins with the law for violence against women and men over the years since.

In the latest incident, the woman reportedly claimed she got into an argument at Brown's home before he struck her.

One of the reports says the "slap" made the woman's weave fall off, but she was otherwise uninjured.

The 30-year-old rapper - who already has five-year-old daughter Royalty with his former partner Nia Guzman - is believed to have welcomed a son with his ex-girlfriend Ammika Harris.

Chris and Ammika are yet to confirm the news, but sources reported the news to Page Six.

Whilst the former couple haven't publicly spoken about their tot's rumoured birth, they have both taken to social media to post cryptic messages, which fans of the No Guidance hitmaker believe could be about their new arrival.

Earlier this week, the 'Kiss Kiss' hitmaker was reportedly detained by Parisian police after a 24-year-old woman claimed she was sexually assaulted at the singer's hotel suite.

Brown denied the allegations in a now-deleted Instagram post which read: "this b!tch is lyin'."

Following his release from custody on Tuesday (local time), he uploaded a video of a dance rehearsal captioned: "We Working," prompting Bieber to chime in with a message of encouragement.

"No one can touch you, ur [sic] the GOAT [Greatest Of All Time]," he commented.

An investigation into the alleged incident is continuing, the Paris prosecutor's office said.

The star and two other men were arrested on Monday after a 24-year-old woman alleged she was assaulted in a hotel in the city earlier this month.

After his release, Brown took to social media to deny any wrongdoing.

"I want to make it perfectly clear, this is false," he wrote on Instagram, alongside a picture that said: "This bitch lyin'."

The former heavyweight champion was asked to help out by 50 Cent after some major beef between the pair over the last few weeks.

"I'm gonna teach him how to bite somebody's ear. Yeah, that's right," he said in a video on Instagram.

"I'm gonna teach him every dirty trick in the book to knock you out. Because I'm not going to teach him how to run."

Soulja Boy is going to be trained by another former boxing champ, Floyd Mayweather, who announced the bout on Instagram.

The former beauty pageant contestant and the chart-topping singer were caught in the middle of a huge legal circus yesterday after Curran claimed Brown threatened her with a gun while at his house Sunday.

Officers responded to a woman's call for help at Brown's suburban residence, an LAPD spokesman said. LAPD's Robbery-Homicide division is handling the incident.

Officers obtained a search warrant Tuesday afternoon. No arrests have been made, according to Lt. Chris Ramirez with the LAPD. Brown is at his residence with his attorney Mark Geragos, police told CNN.

A large police presence could be seen outside Brown's home on aerial footage from CNN affiliates Tuesday.

Chris Brown and Nia Guzman have taken their battle out of the court and onto social media. Earlier this week the rapper won his custody case that allows him to continue seeing his daughter 12 days per month without supervision. The judge also ruled that he wouldn't have to increase his child support.

Brown has got Zayn in the studio alongside Usher to remix his single 'Back to Sleep' and shared it on Twitter.

If that wasn't exciting enough, Breezy has teased another collaboration with the pair in which he's also enlisted the help of Miguel, August Alsina, Bryson Tiller, Tyrese and Tank​.

He posted a clip of the track on Instagram for everyone to get really excited over and captioned it "the ultimate R&B song".

Back in 2009, Brown pleaded guilty to committing felony assault against his then-girlfriend, and Rihanna's dad was furious when he first learned his little girl was punched and bitten by the Deuces singer.

"It was a very difficult time for the whole family," Fenty told UK newspaper The Mirror. "Nobody wants to see their daughter hurt.
