Digicel Tonga supports 2019 Heilala Pageant

Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Heilala committee, Semisi Lafu Kioa Sika, thanked Digicel for supporting the Miss South Pacific 2018 as well as the Miss Heilala Pageant 2019.

The pageant is the main highlight of the Heilala Festival, which celebrates the birthday of the King of Tonga.

It attracts young women of Tongan descent who showcase Tongan culture and tradition through their talents, beauty and knowledge.

This year a total of 25 contestants are vying for the Miss Heilala title.

The pageant will be held from 1 -6 July.

Digicel supports Tonga’s Miss Galaxy Pageant

The theme for the event this year is "Fragrances of different Communities".

The pageant has created a lot of excitement with the Miss Galaxy week kicking off with the Ari’I Oe Hau mixed netball tournament.

There will also be ongoing tests for HIV AIDS as well as two judging events on 17 and 18 July at the Queen Salote Memorial Hall.

The Miss Galaxy Pageant is one of the most popular events of the social calendar in Tonga.

Digicel shows its support for Tonga’s Got Talent

Digicel has been supporting the event for 9 years now and this is the first event of a 2 weeks celebration of the annual Miss Heilala Beauty Pageant and will be held at the Digicel Square on the night of the 24th and 25th June at 7pm. The event is encouraged for all ages to participate and with registration on the Tonga’s Got Talent Facebook Page.

This event has attracted hundreds of people to the heart of Nuku’alofa and that it’s also live streaming to Tongans across the world.

Molimoli is the first Digicel’s Top up & win campaign

The Campaign was launched on 1st of June till 30th June with the idea of incentivising Digicel customers during this festive season.

The campaign is focused on winning a shared cash of $20,000TOP with weekly draw for 4 weeks of $2500TOP and with the grand prize of $10,000.

Digicel Tonga hosts breakfast for Digi-Dads

The month of May celebrates family and the third Sunday is dedicated to all fathers.

Digi-Dads got an early Father’s Sunday treat with the breakfast.

According to Manaog, he is blessed to work with an incredible team in Tonga.

He wished all fathers a Happy Father's Day.

Digicel Tonga acknowledges contribution of its mums

The women were dressed in white as the breakfast theme was of that colour.

Commercial Manager, Dennis Fuapau, represented the management.

The month of May is dedicated to families in Tonga and the second Sunday of the month celebrates Mother’s Day.

Mr Fuapau said the breakfast was organised to reward to all mothers for their hard work, dedication and love towards their work at home and in the office.

Digicel Group CEO Pacific visits Tonga office

Coughlan, who last visited Tonga one year ago after Cyclone Gita wreaked havoc on the island, acknowledged the recovery.

He spoke of Tongans being resilient and able to bounce back from anything.

Coughlan was met by the Digicel Tonga team led by Commercial Manager, Dennis Fuapau.

Digicel Tonga names 1st winner of Mother’s and Father’s Day promotion

Malimali was grateful to Digicel for winning the 4G smartphone together with $50 credit and 2.5 GB data.

He has gifted the phone to his mother.

The promotion is focused around the idea of calling your mom and dad overseas using Digicel’s newest international bundle to be in to win.

Malimali has been using this new plan to call his sisters overseas since the plan was launched on 3 May.

Malimali is 19-years-old and attends Fokololo-'oe-Hau Institute.
