Teens charged with murder following Auckland’s Beach Haven stabbing

On Sunday, two teenagers were arrested in the Far North and charged with murder. 

PMN News reports Police have named the man who died as 28 year old local Joshuah Tasi, who was attacked following a car collision on Friday night. 

The NZ Herald reports Tasi was attacked while in his car sustaining stab wounds to his neck, chest and leg.

Bystanders attempted to apply pressure to the wounds, but Tasi died at the scene. 

Local residents gathered on Sunday night for karakia (prayers) and to pay tribute to the victim.

Torhan Teariki Repia, 36, was excused from attending the Blenheim District Court on Monday as he had been bailed to an Auckland address.

Lawyer Marcus Zintl, acting as agent for Kelly Hennesy, entered the not guilty pleas for Repia.

Repia was scheduled to appear in the Blenheim District Court for a case review hearing on September 13.

Police in Blenheim arrested eight people in the hours after Lynch’s death in relation to an altercation in the town centre.

Solomone, 15, died after being fatally stabbed in the chest during a fight near the Brimbank Shopping Centre, near Deer Park in Melbourne's west, last Tuesday night.

ABC News reports six boys between the ages of 13 and 16 have been charged with violent disorder and affray, but no one has yet been charged with his murder.

On Tuesday, one of the boys accused of participating in the attack faced a children's court and was granted bail, which police and prosecutors did not oppose.

UK park stabbing suspect 'known to MI5'

Khairi Saadallah, 25, from the town, was arrested at the scene yesterday and police say they are not looking for anyone else over the terror incident.

Sources told the BBC he is originally from Libya and came to the attention of MI5 in 2019.

One victim has been named as teacher James Furlong - described by his school as "talented and inspirational".

Paying tribute to Furlong, head of history, government and politics at the Holt School in Wokingham, the school's co-heads said he was a "kind and gentle man" with a "real sense of duty".

Police allege Solomone Taufeulungaki was stabbed after he was approached by a group of up to 10 males outside Brimbank Shopping Centre in Deer Park just after 4:00pm on Tuesday.

ABC News reports the 15-year-old died at the scene.

Six boys aged between 13 and 16 were charged with violent disorder and affray and appeared in a children's court on Wednesday.

Many of them were supported by parents and most of the children will apply for bail in the coming days.

Ben Apikatoa had responded to a call for help from Cassie Sanders, who was allegedly assaulted by her former partner, Nathan Chatimba.

Police allege the two men - who were known to each other - were arguing in the front yard of the St Clair house when Chatimba attacked Apikotoa.

Chatimba was arrested about two hours later at a home some 2km away and was charged with murder and assault occasioning bodily harm.

Australian media report William Hunuki, 27, was stabbed in the abdomen at a unit in Bankstown.

Hunuki died after his life support was switched off in Liverpool Hospital about 9pm on Saturday.

Alexander John Dunleavy, 26, faced Parramatta bail court yesterday, accused of delivering the fatal wounds after an altercation.

He was also charged with assaulting an officer in the execution of his duty.

Mr Dunleavy, who police said was known to his victim, did not apply for bail and it was formally denied by the magistrate.
