The actor and writer is facing a backlash on social media for saying people should be paying more attention to men who are not sexual predators.

In an interview for Business Insider on Monday, Damon said men not involved in sexual misconduct in Hollywood are not gaining attention.

"We're in this watershed moment, and it's great, but I think one thing that's not being talked about is... the preponderance of men I've worked with who don't do this kind of thing," he said during an interview while promoting his new film Downsizing.

Jimmy Kimmel really enjoyed dissing Matt Damon at the Oscars

But it was his ongoing faux-feud with Matt Damon that was truly worthy of gold Sunday night.

Kimmel kicked off his night of Damon torment with a nod to the actor -- who has long been a playful target of Kimmel's -- in his monologue.

"Tonight in the spirit of bringing people together, I would like to bury the hatchet with someone I've had issues with -- Matt Damon," he said. "Now, Matt, I've known Matt for a long time. I've known Matt so long, when I first met Matt, I was the fat one."

The burn was just the beginning.

Jimmy Kimmel hopes Matt Damon doesn't get his 'overly moisturized little hands on an Oscar'

And he'll be the first to admit he's a little nervous about it.

"It's something I was hoping to be asked to do, but I didn't necessarily ever want to do it," Kimmel said with a laugh in an interview Tuesday. "I know all the baggage that comes along with it and the work that comes along with it, and also the criticism that inevitably also comes along with it."

"I wanted to do it but I've also feared doing it -- and I still fear doing it." he told CNN.

Bourne's 3D conversion sends Chinese heads spinning

The format remains hugely popular in the country, particularly when it comes to action movies.

But the conversion process required to give the 2D-shot film an extra dimension seems to have been ill-judged in this case.

Why has China got a 3D Bourne?

Cinemas usually charge more for movies screened in three dimensions, so there's an obvious incentive to show them in the format.

Damon appeared in a "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" skit Monday night for another round of therapy. The stars have had a long-running feud because the late night host refuses to have Damon on the show as a guest.

"You invite me every day," The "Jason Bourne" star said. "You say I'm going to be on the show and I've never been on the show."

Kimmel's defense, as he builds a pillow wall to protect himself from Damon, is that he only has an hour and he simply runs out of time.
