Bavadra to make his sevens debut for England

He will add a bit of Fijian flair to the English side.

The 18-year old played only two tournaments for his Bishop Burton before being selected into the England 7s squad.

Meanwhile, England is pooled with Fiji, Argentina, and Ireland.

Samoa stun Fiji to win Paris 7s

It's the first tournament victory for the Manu since Dubai in 2012 and reverses a 42-5 hiding suffered at the hands of their Pacific rivals in pool play a day earlier.

Head coach Damian McGrath was full of praise for his players.

"I never in my wildest dreams when we woke up this morning thought that we could go through the day. We played three probably the most physical teams here in South Africa, Argentina and then Fiji and to put in the sort of performance that we did made me really proud."

Injuries rule out big names for NZ sevens in Paris

Veteran Tim Mikkelson, former captain DJ Forbes and former All Black Liam Messam have been ruled out through injury, robbing the squad off a huge amount of experience.

Regular skipper Scott Curry remains sidelined as he continues his recovery from shoulder surgery.

Coach Sir Gordon Tietjens said with four of his 16-man squad injured it made it easy to pick his playing 12 and says it gives the squad's fringe members a chance to impress before he selects his side for the Rio Olympics.
