Mason Greenwood: Man Utd player arrested over rape claim

Greater Manchester Police said it was made aware of "social media images and videos posted by a woman reporting incidents of physical violence".

It added "we can confirm a man in his 20s has since been arrested on suspicion of rape and assault".

He remains in custody for questioning and inquiries are ongoing.

Manchester United earlier said the player would not return to training or matches until further notice.

Top Fiji sevens player charged with rape

Nasilasila, who is 26 years old, was remanded in custody after appearing in the Sigatoka Magistrates Court today.

He is said to have handed himself into police after a complaint was lodged against him.

Police say the alleged incident is said to have occurred in Olosara, Sigatoka.

The matter has been adjourned until December 31.

 

     

Tongan accused of child rape to be extradited to US from Pago Pago

Paul Harman is wanted in Washington alleged rape of an underage girl 13 years ago, but he fled the US.

He was arrested in American Samoa last month, and has been held in custody without bail while his attorney fought an extradition order.

According to American Samoa's High Court filings, an extradition request was filed from the US in October.

The governor of Washington state sent a written demand to his American Samoa counterpart to have Mr Harman sent back to the US to stand trial for the alleged crime.

Tonga court acquits taxi driver of rape charge

A Supreme Court judge found Manase Fuavao not guilty of sexually assaulting a 27-year-old woman on 19 October 2017 at Tokomololo.

Kaniva News reports the court heard the woman had rung Hufanga Taxi after her night shift at her workplace in Nuku’alofa and asked to be taken to her home at Houma.

But prosecutors claimed the driver had first taken her to a bush allotment in Tokomololo instead.

While they were driving, the court heard Fuavao told the woman “he felt sexy and wanted to have sex with her.”

The woman claimed she rejected his requests.

Tongan man denies forcibly raping teenager

Viliami Tuakoi, 59, entered his pleas to three felonies in Natrona County District Court through an interpreter who participated in the hearing by phone.

When Judge Thomas Sullins asked Tuakoi how he pleaded, he spoke in Tongan before the interpreter’s voice was heard through a courtroom speaker.

“Not guilty.”
