Massive hint dropped that proves Tui Lolohea is on his way to Huddersfield Giants

The Tonga halfback has been intensely linked with a move to the Giants next year in a switch that would reunite him with former Salford coach Ian Watson.

Neither club has publicly commented on the rumours as the speculation has unfolded, but the RFL's list of off-contract players appears to have confirmed that Lolohea will be at the John Smith's Stadium next season.

The document shows that Salford have not offered terms to Lolohea, meaning that the club has informed the 26-year-old that he will not be offered a new contract next season.

Tongan internationals eye up place in 2022 Moana Pasifika squad

New Zealand Rugby announced on Wednesday that Moana Pasifika and the Fijian Drua had been granted conditional licences to compete in a new professional competition that will feature the 10 New Zealand and Australian Super Rugby franchises from next year onwards.

The final sign-off for both teams’ licences, which is dependent on their final business plans and Rugby Australia’s support, is expected by the end of June.

Fifita still undecided over representative honours

However, Fifita will have to make a call at some stage given that Tonga play Samoa in a one-off test the same weekend as the second Origin match.

Fifita, who represented Tonga at last year's World Cup, has said he would wait until as late as the week before the first Origin clash before making a decision.

But Cordner said he wouldn't try to sway the front-rower either way, and insisted he would have no questions over Fifita's commitment to the Blues even if he left it to the last minute.
