The arrests of six men in the last two weeks from six different locations in Tongatapu are evidences of the continuing strict enforcement of drug laws in the community.
The men were arrested and charged with possession and ddistribution of methamphetamine and cannabis, as well as the possession of drug processing utensils.
"Those who continue to spread the use of drugs in our community will be targeted by Police," DPC Vaisuai said.
"Drugs have no place in our community; they destroy the lives of users, harming our children and our communities. We hope these arrests will bring some reassurance to the community," she continued.
The drive to stop the spread of drugs in the island kingdom continues through education and the strict enforcement of the law.
DPC Vaisuai urges co-operation from the community, and reveals that assistance from people by providing information for the Police have helped in many of the arrests that have taken place.
