New Tonga CEO Infrastructure appointed

A senior public servant, Ringo Kalahuni Fa’oliu has been appointed the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Tonga’s Ministry of Infrastructure.

Mr Fa’oliu will assume this position effective on 6 August 2018 for a period of four (4) years.

He was first recruited to the public service in 1987 and has since served in various senior management and technical positions in the government mainly the Ministry of Works which is now known as the Ministry of Infrastructure.

He also have a 10 years’ worth of experience in the Building Construction Industry in project and contract management in the private sector.

Mr Fa’oliu later got appointed to CEO for Infrastructure in the Ministry of Infrastructure from 2012 until 2015.

Prior to taking up his second appointment as CEO for Infrastructure, Mr Fa’oliu was engaged as a National Project Engineer for the Tonga Renewable Energy Project, National Engineer Consultant for the Tonga Cyclone Ian Reconstruction Climate Resilience Project and an Engineering Consultant Technical Advisor for the Tonga Pacific Games Organizing Committee 2019.
