Tonga observed a public holiday to commemorate the official birthday of King Tupou VI yesterday.
The public took advantage of the holiday and turned up in numbers to the capital to witness the parade of the Heilala Festival.
The parade was led by the Tonga Police Brass Band from St Andrews High School to Taufa'ahau Wharf.
Apart from the Miss Heilala contestants, government ministries, local businesses and technical schools were part of the parade.
