ANZ Pacific App launched in Fiji

ANZ has launched its new ANZ Pacific App in Fiji, providing customers with a convenient and secure option for banking on the go.

“The ANZ Pacific App is our secure mobile banking app for iPhone, iPad and Android which makes your money available right at your fingertips – on the bus, at work or at home,” ANZ Regional Executive Pacific, Tessa Price, explained.

“Security was central to our new, intuitive app design,” Ms Price added. “This is absolutely essential to safeguard our customers from increasingly sophisticated online fraud targeting people around the world.”

Price explained that the ANZ Pacific App uses a range of high-quality security measures to protect customers’ personal and account information, including two-factor authentication, data encryption technology, firewalls to stop unauthorised access to ANZ systems, automatic time-outs after inactivity and lock-outs after incorrect password/PIN attempts.

The new app will be rolled-out to the rest of the Pacific throughout 2018. Price said ANZ decided to make the new app available in Fiji first, as smartphone penetration was rapidly growing, with 1.2 million mobile connections, almost 50% being smartphones. The move also aligned with Pacific country governments’ push for more digitally empowered economies.

Customers will need to be registered for ANZ Internet Banking first in order to access the app with their user ID and password. If not already registered for Internet Banking, visit the nearest branch or call us on 132 411 to set up an Internet Banking account.

The ANZ Pacific App is now available for download from the Fiji, Australian and New Zealand App Stores and Play Store. App updates will be continuously released as new functionality and fixes become available.

Customers will also need an Apple iPhone, iPad, iPod touch running iOS 5 (or above), or an Android phone or tablet running Android operating system version 5.0 (or above).
