Digicel is delighted to announce the appointment of Shally Jannif as its new Regional CEO – Pacific markets marking first time that Digicel has appointed a Fiji-born national to the top role in the Pacific.

No stranger to Digicel, Ms Jannif served until recently as the Chief Financial Officer – Pacific Hub based in Suva.

She joined Digicel Fiji in December 2012 as the Manager Financial Planning, a post which she held for two and a half years and was then appointed Digicel Fiji’s Financial Controller in June 2015 before being appointed CFO – Hub Markets in January 2017.

Emer Jameson, Digicel Group’s Chief People Officer said,” Shally comes with a lot of knowledge and experience in finance and customer relations across the Pacific region. She has the full support of the Senior Management and the Board of Digicel to continue to deliver exceptional services to the people of Fiji, Samoa, Tonga, Vanuatu and Nauru. Her appointment in the lead role will add valuable impetus to Digicel’s continued growth and evolution in the Pacific.”

Commenting on her appointment, Ms Jannif, a proud mother to six-year old son Umair, said, “It is a privilege and an honour to be appointed as Regional CEO – Pacific markets and I will endeavour to give my very best effort. We are committed to building Digicel for the future, delivering a superior superfast network experience and putting our customers in control.”

“We have a great business and a great team in the Pacific and even greater opportunity to grow the business further so I and my team are looking forward to continuing to deliver on our commitment to our valued customers.”
