Calling EOIs for Fine Food Australia 2016 – Melbourne

The Sydney office of Pacific Islands Trade and Invest, (PT&I) is once again calling for Expressions of Interest (EOI) to attend Fine Food Australia 2016.

Exhibition space at this premier trade show will be made available for 11 Pacific Island exporters to showcase their products to a large Australasian and international audience.

Fine Food Australia is the leading trade event for the food industry that consistently delivers the widest and most relevant range of International and Australian buyers and sellers. It is the largest gathering of international food, drink and equipment suppliers for the retail, food service and hospitality industries. This will be the sixth year that PT&I will be facilitating the participation of Pacific Island food and beverage exporting companies.

For many participants this is one of the biggest platforms on which to showcase their products. Sashi Kiran from Friend Fiji, who participated last year said, “The show is a great networking opportunity to connect with the food industry. It has given us a greater understanding of the Australian Food market. The show has been amazing and we have distributor meetings lined up as a result.”

Women in Business Development Inc’s Kalais Taumuina from Samoa said, “We have been able to see an array of high end food products, allowing us to understand better where we fit within the spectrum. We have received much positive feedback on the quality of our products, packaging and branding.”

One of the highlights of the 2015 show was SBS television filming several Pacific Island exhibitor’s products and interviewing Paula Bjelanovic, PT&I Creative Arts & Events Manager that was subsequently screened on SBS national news giving great exposure to our exhibitors.

The Pacific Islands stand stood out from others with traditional Samoan dance performances by Tayla-Jone Thompson.
