Kanye West’s adidas reboot of his Yeezy kicks have sent the servers of multiple websites into a frenzy and fans and hypebeasts continue to vie for a pair of the newly-coveted kicks.
But one fan is willing to trade his pair for more than a few dollars from your PayPal.Matt Neal, a 26-year-old in need of two kidney transplants, took to Facebook in an effort to procure the organs by trading in his size 10 Yeezy Boosts.
“People are always joking that they would give a kidney for a pair of yeezy’s!! Well here’s your chance, I’m 26 with 2 failing kidneys,” he wrote.
While the post has already generated a response from users who want to donate their kidneys, Neal has also reportedly caught the attention of Kanye West himself.
According to TMZ, the rapper and his wife Kim Kardashian have agreed to give Neal a new pair of Yeezys if he indeed makes the trade. There is a legal issue with the situation however, as federal law prohibits the trading of money or merchandise for organs.
Here’s to hoping that someone is generous enough to help Neal, Yeezy-free.
