Issac Luke pays special tribute to newborn daughter in Auckland hospital

After scoring his first try for the Warriors on Friday night, Issac Luke sent a message back to his wife Mickayela Luke and his newborn daughter in Auckland hospital.

Mickayela gave birth to their third child this week and the pair have remained in hospital.

After scoring in the 18th minute against Brisbane in the game the Warriors eventually lost 25-10, Luke made three gestures, the first one was to make the letter 'M', the second was as if he was rocking a baby and he blew a kiss with the third.

After the match Luke posted images of him doing the signals on Instagram and explained that it had been an emotional week for him and Mickayela, who is a cousin of Sonny Bill Williams.

"This last week has been tough for our little family," the 28-year-old Luke wrote.

"But am proud to say that our little angel is getting better.

"M representing my wife@mickayelaluke who has been the ultimate souljah in being next to our little angel all week in hospital.

"I am in awe of the special things you do for our babies. And the baby cradle is my lil angel. Daddy will be home soon to get some cuddles from you.

Mickayela has posted two pictures of their daughter on Instagram, one where she looks to be in an incubator and another where their other two children, Adaquix and Avarni Rose are visiting her.
