Op-ed: Are White Americans Scared to Discipline Black NBA Players?

Same Black NBA Player Drop-kicks Tongan-New Zealander Steven Adams in the Groin − Twice!

Oklahoma City - The Oklahoma City Thunder thrashed Defending Champions Golden State Warriors, 133-105, on Sunday to lead 2-1 in the best-of-seven semi-finals series. But a little ugly secret that manifested itself in this game of basketball, and in this series, is how white people worship black NBA players in America. Tongan-New Zealander starting center Steven Adams for the Thunder was kicked in the testicles once in Game 2, and again in Game 3 respectively, by the same player − Draymond Green.

And this is not the first time this kind of violence has taken place in the NBA.

Granted, Steven Adams ought to expect retaliation from black players after he referred to them as “quick little monkeys” (See Part I) after the Thunder’s upset win in the opening game in Oakland. In the aftermath of that slip-of-the-tongue, and he had to offer an apology for it, he was physically punished in game two and three consecutively. The executioner was none other than his opponent on the Warriors’ lineup, power-forward all-star Draymond Green who seems to have been given a free “beat-up-Adams” card by the officials.

 NBA SCARED TO DISCIPLINE GREEN

The NBA referees are mostly whites, and they did watch with blinders on when Green airborne for the basket with a direct kick to Adams’ groin in Game 2. No whistle blown as Adams bends over succumbing to the pain on the floor, under the basket. Green scored, and the predominantly black Oakland crowd cheered in jubilation seeing the white “racist foreigner” suffered the excruciating pain of an upper-cut kick that squarely crushed Adams’ testicles up against his guts. All the while, Green pumps his arms in the air standing over his defeated prize.

If you haven’t experienced this pain Adams was dealt, try holding your breath for five minutes. Meanwhile, 20 thousand fans are celebrating your demise, and millions of viewers witnessing this sort of public torture on national TV. That’s why white people in the U.S. avoid insulting black NBA players at all costs. They are scared to death! It's ancient Roman Coliseum Games once again.

Well, after the officials TV-reviewing of the incident on the sidelines Sunday, while the OKC crowd chanted “kick him out,” the officials committed mistake No. 1: They allowed Green to stay in the game, but slapped his hands with a Flagrant 1 misdemeanor. And today, the NBA ruled (Mistake #2) that Green escaped suspension from Game 4, but they sheepishly elevated his original Flagrant 1 to Flagrant 2: Which meant, Green should have been ejected from Game 3, and given a one-game suspension. BFD, Adams may not have children from two direct kicks to his testicles, and Green got his hands slapped for unsportsmanlike conduct.

And everyone seemed to be OK with it; media personnel; NBA fans; and NBA officials are all relieved Green is not suspended from Game 4. Do you see what I mean? Black NBA players are being worshipped by the American public, conditioned by the politically incorrectness media. With an 80% population in the NBA, black players are enjoying a "no-can-do-wrong" status in the American sports arena. In addition to being the best players in the game hands down, their minority status in the American population (12%) has earned them an “untouchable” awe in people’s eyes. White Americans are scared to death of being called “racists” in reference to black people in general.

WHAT’S UP WITH 2 GROIN DROP-KICKS IN A ROW?

The media went into great lengths to publish 216 words of direct quotes from Green justifying what he did. Example: “I don’t see why anyone could say that I did it on purpose…” Green said. But to this writer, I’ve seen the video clips from different angles replayed a thousandth times; With both feet on the floor, he launched the right foot to drop-kick Adams’ directly between the legs. The intentional act was camouflaged perfectly with an act of childish frustration to exaggerate his intentions. And they quoted three words from Adams: “He’s been accurate.”

Two times in a row in two consecutive games? Green found Adams’ testicles the perfect target to punish the big Tongan-Kiwi. I do not buy into Green’s ingratiating speech; the first kick was borderline; I was dumbfounded how accurate it was; but the second was a deliberate drop-kick…his left foot was planted on the floor, and the right leg lifted to duplicate what he did two nights before in Oakland. Additionally, I do agree with the minority opinion that the NBA is hell-bent on protecting their star players to guarantee their high TV ratings during the playoffs: Amen.

And there’s something else on those video clips that bothers me: While Adams was suffering on the floor in OKC, Australian Andrew Bogut of the Warriors is clapping his hands and congratulating Green. Bogut must be one of those white dudes who is also scared to breach the politically incorrectness about Black NBA players. He must feel privileged to play amongst them. He’s been living longer (20 years including 4 years attending University of Utah) on the hog in the U.S., than Steven Adams (5 years including one year at the University of Pittsburgh).
