Paul Walker's daughter Meadow pays birthday tribute to late dad

Meadow Walker paid another touching tribute to her late father, Paul Walker, this time on what would have been his 42nd birthday.

She posted on her Instagram page on Saturday a touching childhood photo, showing the actor holding her, and also gave him a special gift: She announced she has founded the Paul Walker Foundation, which aims to protect the oceans and wildlife and provide grants and scholarships to marine science students and researchers.

"I love so much about him," Meadow, 16, said about Paul in a message posted on the group's website. "I wanted to start this foundation because I want to share that piece of him with others. I want to share that piece of him with the world. I am tremendously proud to be launching the Paul Walker Foundation on his birthday. I can't think of a better way to celebrate my father."

The Fast & Furious died in a car crash in 2013. Meadow, his only child, has posted several sweet tributes to him online since his death.

"Paul Walker was best known for his acting career but his passion was the ocean," the website states. "He studied marine biology and spent most of his free time in the ocean."

"That was his magical kingdom," Walker's father, Paul Walker III, told E! News last year, just before the one-year anniversary of the actor's death. "The ocean, and the other was the racetrack."

The Paul Walker Foundation's mission statement is to "DO GOOD."

"Continuing his spontaneous goodwill has no boundaries," the website states. This is something we can all practice daily. The foundation is passing the torch to Meadow as we are all inspired to live like Paul, full of heart, character and spontaneous acts of goodwill that will be impactful beyond our years."

Paul had co-founded the Reach Out Worldwide nonprofit foundation, which is aimed at helping help mobilize aid workers when natural disasters strike. Rhe group honored Paul with a tribute video posted on Facebook.

Also, for the second year in a row, fans are posting on social media photos of sunrises and sunsets to honor the actor and raise awareness for his group.

His brother Cody Walker, 27, is now the CEO. He told E! News that for Paul's 42nd birthday, he plans to "Hang out with the family and close friends, hopefully at the beach."

"Paul was a low-key kind of guy and loved the ocean, so it's pretty fitting," he said.
