Steven Adams gets amongst it as OKC Thunder torch LA Lakers

New Zealand's Steven Adams was one of seven Oklahoma City players to post double-figure outputs as the Thunder bounced back in style from their streak-busting NBA defeat to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Kiwi-Tongan Thunder torched the Kobe Bryant-less Los Angeles Lakers 118-78 in a one-sided contest from go to whoa at the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma to improve to 18-9 for the season and solidify their spot atop the Northwest division standings.

And Adams enjoyed his outing against the hapless Lakers, who drop to 4-23, with 10 points on four-of-four shooting and seven rebounds in 25 minutes. That continues the 22-year-old Kiwi's consistent play of late for the surging Thunder.

With the Thunder in complete control from the outset – they led 35-15 at the end of the opening quarter and 67-41 at the half – OKC coach Billy Donovan was able to spread the minutes liberally throughout his squad.

Kevin Durant paced the victors with 22 points and eight rebounds, while Enes Kanter (19 points and 14 boards), Russell Westbrook (13 points and 11 assists), Serge Ibaka (12 points), Dion Waiters (11 points) and Anthony Morrow (10 points) all chimed in with solid efforts.
