Tongan-Australian actor speaks movingly against visit of rape advocate

The Tongan-Australian star of the hit series television Marco Polo has joined the chorus of people condemning the visit to Australia by the leader of a group that promotes the legalisation of rape.

US-based Daryush Valizedeh, the creator of the so-called neo-masculine Return of the Kings website, announced on social media that he has set up meetings with like-minded men around Australia this weekend.

Immigration Minister Peter Dutton says people who advocate violence against women "aren't welcome in Australia".

Talia'uli 'Uli' Latukefu is an Australian actor who plays Byamba in Marco Polo, and is also known from the thriller Devil's Playground and Australian Idol.

He is one of thousands of people who took to Twitter to express their disgust at the prospect of a visit to Australia by the group's leader.
