Hundreds of migrants and refugees were rescued by the Turkish Coast Guard off Turkey's western coast between 6th and 10th of September, according to a written statement from the Izmir governor's office on Friday.
Coast Guard footage released on Friday showed migrants at sea waving and screaming for help.
