Former Parramatta Eels player Fuifui Moimoi's alleged affairs posted online by wife

Former Parramatta Eels rugby league player Fuifui Moimoi's Twitter account has been compromised, with a stream of posts alleging numerous affairs.

The tweets, published on Sunday night, claim to be written by his wife.

In one tweet, she wrote: "Not hacked I'm his wife and have access to it and he knows I have his password free and clear!"

A later post appeared to be from Moimoi himself, saying: "Sorry you all have to see this. I'm going to clean up my life and twitter!"

Shortly afterwards the account went into private mode, with the tweets blocked to the public.

The stream of tweets and photos depicted photos and text conversations with other women.

Moimoi, 37, played 201 games for Parramatta between 2004 and 2014 before continuing his career in England and Canada, where he currently plays.

Moimoi is just the latest in a string of celebrities and sportspeople whose social media accounts have been hacked.

In December, Penrith Panthers star Bryce Cartwright's ex-girlfriend faced court charged with using a carriage service to menace, harass or offend and stalk/intimidate with the intent to cause physical harm after she allegedly posted sexually explicit photos of him.

In late 2015, Wests Tigers forward Curtis Sironen had his Twitter account compromised with details of an affair allegedly published by his ex-girlfriend.

Last year, personalities including Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and singer Katy Perry had some of their social media accounts hacked.
