Shot put champion Dame Valerie Adams finishes up with longtime manager

Kiwi shot put queen Dame Valerie Adams has parted ways with her longtime manager Nick Cowan.

Adams posted on social media on Friday night that she has ended her involvement with Cowan, her manager of 14 years, and joined the Halo Sport agency.

"Hey all – just a quick note to let you know that I have made some changes to the structure of my team," Adams posted.

"Nick Cowan and I have agreed to part ways. Nick has decided to pursue other endeavours and I wish him well in those and thank him for all of his work over the years.

"I have made the decision to join the team at Halo Sport and I am looking forward to working with them."

Halo Sport's website states they are a full-service agency, focusing on sponsorship, events, activations, and relationships providing "considered, long lasting, thought provoking connections" for stakeholders and brands.

They have four key areas: sponsorship, events, activation, and rugby relationships.

Adams, the dual Olympic shot put gold medallist and four-time world champion, gave birth to her second child, son, Kepaleli Tava Sydney Adams-Price, in March. She has a daughter, Kimoana Josephine, who was born in October 2017.
