The Springboks shocked the All Blacks with a 36-34 victory in Wellington last month and looked set to pull off a double when they led 30-13 with 20 minutes remaining on Saturday.

Steve Hansen's side had been outplayed and starved of the ball for much of their final match of the tournament, but Scott Barrett's try four minutes from time set up a tense finale.

There was one final twist, Ardie Savea ploughing his way over in the final minute and Richie Mo'unga converting to gain revenge for the world champions.

After a surprise away win in New Zealand last month, Kolisi is awaiting a backlash in the last match for both teams in this year's southern hemisphere competition.

"Obviously the All Blacks have already won the Rugby Championship, but we have heard them speaking of the fact that they are coming here with a real desire to win this one," Kolisi said.

South Africa's 36-34 win in Wellington was only the fourth time the New Zealanders have lost since they won the 2015 World Cup.

The All Blacks face South Africa at Loftus Versfeld on Sunday morning in the last game in this year's southern hemisphere Rugby Championship.

The encounter is much anticipated after the Springboks pulled off an upset 36-34 win over the world champions in Wellington last month in a result that led to some New Zealand soul-searching.

"We learnt we can't just expect to turn up and have things go our way all the time," Read said.

"We've got to have plans in place to rectify those things and I guess as a captain we try and manage the game as best we can."

The Springboks host the All Blacks at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria in the last game for both in this year's tournament and have also been drawn together in the same group at the World Cup in Japan, where they will meet in Yokohama on Sept. 21 in the opening Pool B game.

Last month South Africa, who have taken some heavy beatings from the New Zealanders in recent years, upset the odds to win 36-34 at Wellington to breath some intrigue back into their rivalry.

There are four changes to the starting XV, Read is back in place of Ardie Savea, who drops to the bench despite starring in last week's win in Argentina.

Centurion Owen Franks takes over from Ofa Tuungafasi at prop, pushing the latter to the reserves, while halfback Aaron Smith is back in the starting side with TJ Perenara dropping to the bench.

Jack Goodhue starts at centre with Ryan Crotty moving into the reserves.

New Zealand's 35-17 win over Argentina in Buenos Aires at the weekend ensured another southern hemisphere championship for the All Blacks but that will not lead to any slackening of against the Springboks in Pretoria says Perenara.

"We're so focused on the next job and winning games and being the best footy players that we can be that we don't often have time to reflect on what we've achieved," Perenara, who celebrated his 50th cap in Velez Sarsfield win, told New Zealand media.

The All Blacks were 35-17 victors against the Pumas in Buenos Aires as the world champions secured the title for a third consecutive year on Saturday.

New Zealand were upstaged by South Africa in their previous outing but avoided back-to-back defeats for the first time since 2011 thanks to Rieko Ioane's double.

The All Blacks led 21-3 at half-time after Ioane crossed over twice before Argentina mounted a late comeback in the capital city.

The All Blacks, who were beaten at home by South Africa in their last match, but have not lost back-to-back tests since 2011, could secure the Rugby Championship title with a win and a bonus point in Buenos Aires.

They come up against an in-form home side, however, who have won two games in the tournament for the first time since they began to test themselves against the southern hemisphere's best in 2012.

McKenzie came off the bench to win his 19th cap in the second half of a 36-34 shock home defeat to South Africa.

The versatile back will not feature when the world champions attempt to show a positive response to that setback against the Pumas in Buenos Aires, though, after it was revealed that he had flown home.

"Damian McKenzie has returned home to New Zealand after a family bereavement," the All Blacks tweeted.

"He will rejoin the All Blacks squad in South Africa. The thoughts of everyone in the All Blacks are with Damian and his family at this sad time."

Moyano is still recovering from a rib injury sustained in the Pumas' victory against Australia on the Gold Coast earlier this month.

Moyano was one of Argentina's standout performers in their 46-24 loss to the All Blacks in Nelson in Round three.

The former Argentina Sevens representative also scored a try in Argentina's 32-19 victory over South Africa in Mendoza last month.
