Kenyan runner escapes anti-doping testers

Kenya is famous for its long and middle-distance running prowess, but it has been caught up in a series of doping scandals over the last five years, a period over which around 60 of its athletes have been sanctioned for anti-doping violations.

A World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) report in September 2018 said 138 Kenyan athletes tested positive from 2004 to August 2018.

Shayna Jack notified of four-year ban unless she can prove she is innocent

Jack, who mysteriously departed the Fina world championships in South Korea just days before they began citing "personal reasons", later admitted she had failed a doping test, testing positive to Ligandrol.

Initial reports out of Sydney indicated she had already been banned, but she faces an Australian Anti-Doping Authority (Asada) hearing on Friday.
