Spurs beat Hammers

The visitors were fortunate just before halftime when VAR ruled out Son Heung-min's goal for offside, but their luck deserted them after the break at an empty Tottenham Stadium.

Defeat left West Ham above the relegation zone on goal difference from Bournemouth who have a game in hand.

Tottenham's first win in eight matches in all competitions kept them in the hunt for a Champions League qualification berth.

Jose Mourinho's side are seventh with 45 points, one behind fifth-placed Manchester United.

Liverpool beat Spurs to win champions league

It was Mohamed Salah, such a disconsolate figure when he was injured early in that loss to Real Madrid, who set Liverpool on their way with a penalty after two minutes when Moussa Sissoko was contentiously punished for handball.

In a final that rarely touched the heights of the blockbuster semi-finals that made this an all-Premier League showpiece, Spurs had chances but were denied by Liverpool keeper Alisson, who saved well from Son Heung-min, Lucas Moura and Christian Eriksen.

Lucas stunned as Spurs reach final

Tottenham booked a showdown with Liverpool in Madrid on June 1 as hat-trick hero Lucas scored in the 96th minute to complete a sensational comeback in Amsterdam.

Trailing 1-0 heading into Wednesday's return leg, Tottenham fell 3-0 behind on aggregate after quickfire goals from Matthijs de Ligt and Hakim Ziyech put Ajax on the brink in the first half.

However, Lucas gave Tottenham hope with two goals in four minutes approaching the hour-mark and he broke Ajax's hearts after steering home the dramatic winner in stoppage time as Spurs prevailed on away goals.

Liverpool beat Barcelona

Facing a daunting 3-0 deficit after last week's first leg, Origi made light of Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino's absence from the Liverpool forward line by poaching a seventh-minute opener on Tuesday.

Jurgen Klopp's side kept the contest at a pace frenetic enough that Barcelona were rarely allowed to settle and Wijnaldum's quickfire brace before the hour had the locals in raptures.

Salah and Firmino ruled out of Liverpool v Barcelona

Salah, Liverpool's leading scorer in all competitions this season, sustained a head injury in the Reds' 3-2 victory over Newcastle United on Saturday.

The Egypt forward had to be taken off on a stretcher in the 73rd minute, with his replacement Divock Origi scoring the winner 13 minutes later.

Speaking ahead of Barca's trip to Anfield, Klopp confirmed Salah had suffered a concussion but will be fit for Sunday's decisive final-day Premier League clash against Wolves.

Champions League match schedule out

Group A in Vanuatu will kick things off with the winner of this month’s OFC Champions League Qualifier opening the Group Stage against Papua New Guinea club champions, Toti City FC (formerly known as Lae City Dwellers).

Host club and competition newcomers, Nalkutan FC, take on Fiji veterans Ba FC on 10 February at Korman Stadium in Port Vila.

Group B also gets underway on 10 February (11 February NZT) with Stade Pater gearing up to host a group for the second season in-a-row.

Liverpool make it into the last 16

They were joined in the last 16 by Sevilla, Shakhtar Donetsk and Porto on the final matchday of the group stage.

A first Reds hat-trick from Philippe Coutinho, a brace from Sadio Mande and singles from Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah at Anfield ensured Liverpool topped Group E.

It means for the first time there are five EPL clubs in the last 16.

Sevilla drew 1-1 at eliminated Maribor to go through second ahead of Spartak.

Shakhtar defeated Group F winners Manchester City 2-1 to secure second place, with first-half goals by Brazilians Bernard and Ismaily.

Emery hails Neymar after stunning Celtic win

PSG fell behind after just 56 seconds to Moussa Dembele's shock goal for the Scottish side, but Emery's star-studded outfit bounced back in magnificent style to race into a 4-1 half-time lead.

Neymar scored the first two goals before Cavani's 150th for the club and a fourth from Kylian Mbappe effectively ended the game as a contest.

Ronaldo hails Real Madrid's pivotal Champions League experience

Ronaldo's first-leg hat-trick put Los Blancos in command ahead of Tuesday's return fixture at the Vicente Calderon, where Isco's goal proved crucial in thwarting a potential Atletico comeback after early goals from Saul Niguez and Antoine Griezmann.

And Ronaldo highlighted Isco's strike as the crucial moment in the tie.

"We knew that with a goal we would kill them, we had more experience and we showed it," Ronaldo to El Larguero

Juventus into Champions League final

Juventus, who ran out 4-1 aggregate winners, will face either Real Madrid or Atletico Madrid, who meet in the other semi-final at the Vicente Calderon Stadium tomorrow with Real leading 3-0.

The final is in Cardiff on June 3.

Brazilian Alves provided the cross for Mario Mandzukic to score the first goal in the semi-final, second leg and then added the second himself with an explosive strike to effectively finish off the tie by half-time.
