After a sustained period of strong form in the Intrust Super Cup, PNG flyer Justin Olam is in line to make his NRL debut on Sunday. A debut for the 24-year old would see him follow in the footsteps of Storm legend and PNG native Marcus Bai.

The turnaround proved too short for Curtis Scott who will miss the match with an ankle injury but should be available for selection in Round 10. While Young Tonumaipea injured his hamstring at training on Thursday and is expected to miss 3-4 weeks.

Titled “Justin Olam - The Story So Far”, the three part story focuses on Olam’s transition from a SP Hunter to his signing with the Melbourne Storm to play in the National Rugby League competition.

TVWAN Producer, Evan Oavita said the Olam story will be aired on Friday, February 17 at 7pm on TVWAN Action.

“The story is on his life, background and a bit about himself and his career,” said Oavita.

Olam will become the second Papua New Guinean to play for the Melbourne Storm after Marcus Bai.

The young “angra” from Chimbu who debuted for the beloved Kumuls has scored him a contract with the Melbourne Storm, but he must first pass a medical test before he puts ink onto the contract.

Olam debuted for the SP PNG Hunters playing on the wing in the Queensland Intrust Cup this season.
