Man killed by his own bird in cockfight in India

The bird's owner was impaled in the groin by the knife as the animal tried to escape. The man died on the way to hospital from a loss of blood.

Police are now searching for 15 more people involved in the event, which took place in the village of Lothunur in Telangana state earlier this week.

The animal was held at a police station before being transferred to a farm.

One killed in apartment fire at Trump Tower in New York

The victim, a male resident, died at the hospital and has not yet been identified, they said.

US President Donald Trump has a home and an office in the building, but is currently in Washington.

The fire was reported to be on the 50th floor of the high-rise, which contains apartments and office space.

The president tweeted that the fire was out, and had been "very confined" as the tower is a "well-built building".

Streets surrounding the building in Midtown Manhattan have been closed off.

Man dies after jumping out of moving Police vehicle

The deceased, Li’ekina He Vahafolau Fīnau, 22 of Takatamotonga was identified by his sister.

According to Kaniva News, the incident occurred on Tuesday night.

Acting Police Chief Superintendent Tēvita Vailea said Police arrested Fīnau after a complaint was filed against him.

Vailea alleged that Fīnau was drunk and he was at the back of the pick-up van with a Police officer while they were heading to the Police station.

     

Tongan man dies in industrial accident in Auckland suburb

According to Kaniva News, the deceased has been identified as Hamani Topui.

Family, kāinga and friends took to Facebook to pay tribute to Topui’s wife, ‎Tupou Loata Meilini Topui and their children.

Emergency services were called to the Neilson St site in Penrose shortly before 12.30pm yesterday.

A Fire Service spokesman confirmed it was a fatal accident.

Sergeant Rob Kennedy of Auckland City Police said police are currently at the scene. He said the accident involved a fork-hoist and that a man had died.
