Cronk said he hopes Pearce remains at Bondi Junction and believes Roosters coach Trent Robinson can successfully deploy three representative halves in 2018, with Cronk, Pearce and Luke Keary all playing in the same side.

The Rabbitohs duo have never hit the same heights as brother Sam with many believing they've under performed in seasons gone by.

Sterling as perplexed as anyone as to why they haven't stepped up.

"It's one of the real mysteries, that George and Tom haven't gone and hit the heights that I think we all thought they were going to after that standout season when they won the competition," he said on Triple M .

The talented 27-year-old has played 15 matches for the Blues but missed the 2016 series following his Australia Day indiscretions that resulted in an eight-week suspension to start the season.
