Kolisi suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury playing for the Sharks against Munster in the United Rugby Championship last month, but according to South Africa coach Jacques Nienaber is "hitting his markers" in terms of his recovery.

He said Kolisi was on track to be fit for the Word Cup, which kicks off in France in September and where South Africa will be defending the trophy that Kolisi lifted in Japan four years ago.

Reuben Brigety claimed that a Russian ship was loaded with ammunition and arms in Cape Town last December.

President Cyril Ramaphosa's office said it was disappointed by the claims and said no evidence has been provided to support them.

The country has maintained claims of neutrality in the invasion of Ukraine.

Mr Brigety said at a media briefing in Pretoria on Thursday that Washington had concerns about the country's stated non-aligned stance on the conflict.

The now 46-year-old, who played club rugby for the Bulls, the Cats and the Stormers, was capped seven times at Test level in 2000.

He attended last weekend’s round one Rugby Championship match but his celebrations were ruined when he was attacked outside a nightclub. Arendse was red carded after 75 minutes following a dangerous tackle on All Blacks first five Beauden Barrett that saw the latter land on his neck and remain a doubt for this weekend's second fixture between the sides at Ellis Park.

The Lulo Rose is a type 2a diamond, meaning it has few or no impurities.
