Tongan workers wounded in alleged knife attack released from Blenheim hospital

The two men were injured in the early hours of Sunday morning, 20 June.

They were released from Blenheim’s Wairau Hospital, a Nelson Marlborough Health spokesperson said on Wednesday.

Lynch and the two men were out celebrating a birthday when they were seriously injured in what police believe was an altercation between the Tongan men and a gang from outside the region, according to Stuff.co.

They have confirmed the victim as 28-year-old Eplahame Tu'uheava, whose partner is recovering from gunshot wounds in hospital.

Detectives are appealing for the public's help to catch two Tongan men after the execution-style killing of Mr Tu'uheava who was shot in the head on a lonely road in Mangere.

His wife Mele survived a gunshot to her upper body.

Two men face murder trial for campus shooting

Tongan men found guilty of kidnapping and manslaughter

Luigi Havea and Panepasa Havea were among ten accused found guilty of kidnapping Jindarat from her home on March 1 last year.

Another Tongan identified as Tevita Fangupo charged in the case, was cleared of kidnapping charges.

The ten people found guilty in the case are Seng Lek Liev (25), Joseph Haurua (33), Sodarith Sao (25), Aphichart Korhomklang (30), Luigi Havea (26), Panepasa Havea (25), Masi Vaifale (34), Rogers Paleaaesina (25), Raymond Brown and a woman with name suppression, reports Stuff.co
