Foley, 29, recommitted to RA despite offers from overseas, with next year's World Cup a target.

The playmaker said he wanted Australia to contend in Japan in 2019 after being part of the Wallabies' losing team in the 2015 final.

"I'm really happy to re-sign and now focus on pushing ahead to focus on what's a really big season next year," Foley said.

"The World Cup is obviously a major carrot and I've got a lot of belief in this group that if we continue to work hard and focus on improving every day, then we can push deep into the competition.

Neither Kerevi or Kuridrani will line up for their NRC sides this weekend, which leaves them next-to-no chance to travel to Japan to face the All Blacks.

But it's understood Kerevi, in particular, remains a chance to link up with the Wallabies in Wales a week later.

The star Reds centre, who has had a four-month layoff due to surgery on a ruptured biceps suffered in June, said last week he is hopeful of making a return for Brisbane City if they qualify to play finals football in the NRC.

The Queensland side face a must-win clash with Canberra Vikings on Sunday.

"Lukhan came in to help out because that guy was swearing around his family," Kerevi wrote.

"That altercation only happened because the drunk fan told Lukhan to 'play with some heart'.

"The fact that he was even on the field speaks volumes.

Injury concerns Israel Folau and Taniela Tupou are racing the clock to make a comeback after being included in a 31-strong Wallabies squad for The Rugby Championship

Folau is considered a "50-50" chance of playing the Springboks in Brisbane on Saturday night after only running for the first time on Friday since injuring his ankle against the All Blacks in Sydney two weeks ago.

The clash against the Pumas will be played on the Gold Coast on September 15.

Ahead of Saturday's second Bledisloe Cup test at the Auckland venue, the 56-year-old told Radio Sport's D'Arcy Waldegrave the way the Australians played in the second half of last weekend's 38-13 All Blacks win in Sydney was a real concern.
