The President of the Tokaikolo Church, Reverend Dr Liufau Saulala has passed away at the age of 75, in New Zealand.
He has been confirmed to have passed on Thursday, 19 November at Middlemore Hospital in Auckland.
The prominent church leader remained abroad, after leaving Tonga just before the border closed in March this year, due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The funeral service is expected to be held in Auckland with the date yet to be confirmed.
Rev. Dr Saulala founded Christ’s University in 2004, where he was Vice-Chancellor.
