The Prime Minister of Tonga has been meeting with his Cabinet to decide the future of Finance Minister 'Aisake Eke.
Dr Eke abstained during last week's no confidence vote that was brought against 'Akilisi Pohiva.
The vote was defeated 14-10 but the Finance Minister's actions appear to have surprised Mr Pohiva.
RNZ reports the Cabinet held a special meeting this morning and discussions are continuing.
Mr Pohiva indicated he wouldn't make any comment on the matter until a decision is made.
