Police have arrested a 40-year-old man from Nukunuku after midnight last night in relation to a shooting incident that occured at Hihifo Road in Nukunuku.
A 22-year-old man from Fua’amotu is at Vaiola hospital with injury sustained from a gunshot wound to his stomach during an altercation with the suspect.
Police also seized a .22 rifle from the suspect.
The suspect is in police custody while an investigation continues.
